Meet Darren Shepherd

Darren Shepherd is a real estate agent with Compass serving Mission Viejo, California and South Orange County. He leads the Darren Shepherd Team and has worked these neighborhoods full time for over a decade, with 200+ homes sold and $210M+ in sales.

In Mission Viejo, Darren works throughout Barcelona North, Aegean Hills, Pacific Hills, Deane Homes, Madrid del Lago, Casta del Sol, Painted Trails, and the lake-rights neighborhoods around Lake Mission Viejo. He also serves Lake Forest, Rancho Santa Margarita, Ladera Ranch, Aliso Viejo, and Laguna Hills.

Most of his business comes from repeat clients and referrals. He works mainly with move-up buyers, downsizing sellers, and first-time buyers, and handles pricing strategy, prep, and negotiation himself rather than passing clients to a junior agent.

  • We met Darren through Dave Ramsey and couldn’t have asked for a better experience as first-time homebuyers. Darren and Dakota with the Shepherd Real Estate Team walked us through every step of the process — from getting pre-approved to closing on our new home. Even with a few challenges along the way, they made everything feel simple and stress-free. We ended up purchasing our first home in Riverside County and couldn’t be happier! We highly recommend Darren and the Shepherd Real Estate Team to anyone in Orange County or Riverside County looking to buy their first home.

  • I’ve worked with at least five real estate agents over the years, and without question, Jerry Tucker has been the absolute best. He’s been my agent for about three years, and during that time, he became more like a trusted friend than just someone trying to make a sale. Jerry was incredibly patient and supportive throughout my very long home search — nearly seven years in total! He took me on countless tours, never rushed me, and always made me feel comfortable. What stood out most was that he truly cared about helping me find the right home, not just any home. His honesty, calm demeanor, and willingness to go above and beyond really set him apart f...

  • We’d outgrown our first rental and wanted more space for our family and our service dog, Leo. Jerry found us a gorgeous new-construction home in Irvine’s Great Park that’s modern, open, and near top schools, exactly what we were hoping for. He made the whole process easy and gave us honest guidance every step of the way. We’re so grateful we found such an amazing team. Thank you, Jerry and the Shepherd Real Estate Team!
